A two-day North Bali itinerary works best when it is treated as a regional stay, not a long list of attractions spread across the island. This suggested plan combines Banjar with time around your northern accommodation and offers Sekumpul as a separate, more active outing. It assumes you can stay overnight in the region and adjust the sequence to your arrival route.

It does not include every place labelled North Bali. That is intentional: the region is not one compact attraction.

Choose the base before setting the order

Look at your arrival point, accommodation and onward destination on a map. The Lovina coastal area is one possible base, but the exact property matters more than the label. Confirm where you will eat, how you will arrange transport and whether you can reach the entrance comfortably with luggage.

If you arrive late or after a long drive, use the first day simply to settle in. Move an outing rather than treating a booking confirmation as a reason to hurry.

Day one: Banjar and an unhurried afternoon

Plan a visit to Banjar Hot Springs if the current facilities and rules suit your group. Confirm the opening arrangements, pack dry clothing and agree on your return pickup. Let the visit take the time it needs for changing, bathing where appropriate and having a break.

Afterwards, return to your accommodation or enjoy a meal in the area. If you add a cultural visit, treat it separately: change into suitable clothing and follow that site’s access requirements. There is no need to fill the remaining afternoon simply because a driver is available.

Day two: choose an active or gentle option

For an active day, investigate Sekumpul Waterfall. Ask about the current route, walking demands, weather and guide arrangements before committing. Plan it as the main outing, with time for the climb back, rest and a meal.

For a gentler day, spend more time around your accommodation and the northern coast. A short local outing and a relaxed lunch may be a better fit than a challenging waterfall walk. Choose based on your group’s interests and abilities, not the expectation that every North Bali trip must include the same photograph.

Do not force two distant experiences together

Banjar and Sekumpul belong to the broader Buleleng region, but that does not make them neighbouring stops. Ask your driver about the actual route between your property and each attraction. Splitting the outings across separate days gives you more freedom to respond to conditions.

If your onward transfer is fixed, choose a shorter second-day plan. A waterfall route with uncertain weather is not a good activity to place immediately before a tight departure commitment.

Keep the northern stay useful

Confirm meal options, transfer contacts and check-out arrangements before the day begins. Pack a manageable activity bag and leave the remainder of your luggage appropriately stored. If rain affects the waterfall plan, use the alternative rather than spending the morning searching for another ambitious route.

The benefit of staying in North Bali is the chance to experience it with less rushing. Protect that benefit by selecting a few compatible outings and giving the region more than the hours between two long drives.
